Chartered in 1956, Cherokee Town and Country Club is recognized as one of America's premier private clubs. Our Town Club occupies the famed Grant Estate on West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead and our Country Club is located near the Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs. The excellence of our facilities, combined with our commitment to the highest standards in dining and member services, has brought the club an extraordinary number of honors and awards throughout the years.

Golf Facilities

The two golf courses are located at the country club location. Full-service practice range, putting green and teaching facilities.

Racquet Facilities

  • 16 outdoor lighted Har-Tru courts
Atlanta is the #1 ALTA tennis city in the country. We have a very active tennis facility. 16 total courts including clay and hard court which are all lighted as well. We also offer pickle ball and racquet ball.

Swimming Facilities

The Town Club has 3 swimming pools including a family pool, which is where all of our swim meets are held, adults only lap pool and a kid pool. The Country Club also has 3 swimming pools including a family pool, adults only lap pool and a kid pool.

The Town Club's fitness facility has men's and women's locker rooms, a large cardio room, a large free weight room, two massage rooms and an aerobics room. The fitness rooms are open 7 days a week with personal trainers and group fitness classes.

Cherokee is looking for a Pool Snack Bar Supervisor who is interested in learning about Food and Beverage in a Premium club environment. Additionally, they will ensure that all Cherokee members and guests are received immediately and courteously upon arrival. The right candidates will take pride in delivering fabulous and superior experiences!

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Greets and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner while ensuring rule compliance and proper check-in at the Country Club pools.

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

  • Responsible for opening/closing duties for shift worked
  • Anticipate members needs
  • Responsible for greeting members and guests as they arrive
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Strong attention to detail

Requirements

 Tasks/Skills

  • Supervises Pool Snack Bar Attendants to ensure member satisfaction and a sense of urgency at all times
  • Supervises daily operation and staff of the Pool Bar.
  • Hires, onboards and trains all new employees and provides positive feedback and opportunity
  • Establishes work schedules for employees within the framework of the operating hours to obtain the most efficient operation.
  • Prepares requisitions for food, supplies and equipment from storeroom and manages inventory process
  • Works closely with Manager in Development
  • Participates in Leadership meetings (based on schedule)
  • Assists with Payroll

Candidate Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • First Aid/ CPR/ AED Certification (can be obtained from the Club)
  • Previous experience in a Country Club (preferred)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holiday
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Educational Requirements

Currently Enrolled in a collegiate Hospitality Program
