Can you imagine a team of people who are self-aware, know how to communicate well, and are able to bring their best to the table every day? What would that do for your culture? For productivity? Leadership Address: What 80’s Pop Culture Teaches Us About Today’s Workplace
Chris Clews
Ah the 1980s. A magical time for creativity, invention, individuality, and pop culture that taught us valuable workplace lessons. Wait? What was that last one? Workplace lessons? The best lessons for our workplace and our lives often come from the most unexpected of places and the era of parachute pants, padded shoulders, neon, and members-only jackets most certainly qualifies. So, is '80s pop culture really imbued with timeless lessons for leaders? Yes! In this interactive session, you’ll hear some totally awesome leadership and workplace lessons from Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Prince Akeem from Coming to America, John Bender in The Breakfast Club, a musician who loved the color purple, and more '80s pop culture characters and icons.

fees and accommodation rates for the event as economical
as possible. We work diligently to negotiate the best
hotel rates and to make the best use of your registration
dollars to keep the Conference affordable and
accessible.
CMAA encourages all participants to reserve a room at The
Mayflower Hotel; this supports not only the Conference,
but also future meetings. While in some instances, less
expensive accommodations may be available from third party

ultimately increase the cost of events.
